POV : The goal of this project is to create a wine label and packaging system. I decided to create a story about a fictional winery, named Maria Vineyards, and give special meaning to its wine. The story began in 2006 in Perugia, Italy where the viticulturist Manuel Castro created Maria Vineyards, named after his daughter Maria. Manuel got inspired by the stained-glass windows found inside the church that he went to, and this became the design of his wine. In 2016 Manuel’s daughter Maria inherited the vineyard and she moved to Santa Maria County in California where she created a new winery and continued the legacy of her father.
